It also allows online and mobile app users to personalize organic therapeutic-grade aromatherapy blends through digital interaction with a data driven algorithm built by certified aromatherapists. Our aromatherapy ingredients are certified organic and chromatography tested for purity and holistic vibrational quality.
Our uniquely designed wellness platform is the brainchild of our founder who leveraged her 20+ year client-focused real estate career, aromatherapy expertise and experience as a full-time caregiver to conceptualize and curate its offerings.

Our Founder
Makeba Lloyd is the founder of Butter By Keba and Scentonomy, two tech enabled wellness and personal care brands providing products and services the that highlight the beauty and benefits of aromatherapy and perfumery.
In Makeba's former life she was a lead new development sales associate representing New York City real estate developers across the boroughs with a collective portfolio of $1 Billion. After a trip through Ancient Egypt, she discovered the benefits of engaging the therapeutic practice of aromatherapy and perfumery, not only as a self-care routine, but also a method of creating her own scentscapes (a term coined by Egyptology Prof. Dora Goldsmith) using handcrafted products that served as aromatherapy tools she attributes to upgrading her sales presentations.
Makeba’s passion for creating and building the platform stems from her own experience as a full-time caregiver to her Mother who, as a healthcare professional, was a huge advocate for holistic and complementary health care options.
Ms. Lloyd holds a B.S. in business management, certifications in Aromatherapy, Egyptian Perfumery and Classic Perfumery. She is a member of the National Association For Holistic Aromatherapists and The Healing Project and Herbalist Without Borders. Makeba continues to expand her knowledge in areas of aromatherapy and complementary wellness through continued education under institutions and organizations such as the School For Aromatic Studies and the American College of Healthcare Sciences.
She contributes her time, resources and knowledge to Harlem's youth in partnership with local Non-Profit Hands That Make A Difference for their Anti-Violence and Financial Literacy Initiative 'Save Our Seeds". Her weekly Aromatherapy and Perfumery Workshop series has become a fixed component of the programs curriculum.
