The beauty of Geranium...why we love it.

Geranium is one of the oldest plants used in holistic plant medicine.  It was used to treat skin problems, wounds, and burns. It was also used to treat snake bites. Geranium essential oil can be used in aromatherapy for its antiseptic properties and its ability to boost the immune system through inhalation.

Geranium is a perennial plant that grows best in regions with hot summers and mild winters. Its flowers are small and white or pink in color with violet veins on their undersides. The leaves are aromatic and have a citrus scent due to an abundance of terpenes. The flowers contain citronellol, which is why they are considered antiseptic.

In modern times, researchers have found that geranium essential oil can help with stress-related disorders like anxiety and depression.
